What reason was given for your ban?

I got a post taken down for “sexual solicitation” it was a fashion photograph with naked breasts but they were censored.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Because IG hates any type pf nudity even if its censored.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

I’ve tried that for other posts but they never respond.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

First if there is something important (like I have a Kickstarter for a book) I needed to be able to promote it and being shadow-banned made me unseen and affected what I was trying to raise. It affects my business as a photographer not being able to market my art, this is how I make a living!

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Why certain accounts/ celebrities can post more risqué content than mine and be ok, while I get censored & shadowbanned?

I use tools to censor my work, I know what I shoot is provocative, but you don’t see the accounts of Playboy and others get taken down and they post more risque stuff. These are the ones I can remember, because this has happened many times, if it’s not taken down, I’ve gotten shadowbanned meaning no likes or engagement..
