What reason was given for your ban?

Violence because my ileostomy & stoma were shown.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

I’m not certain, maybe the algorithm saw a stoma, tube feed & other medical devices & didn’t understand/recognize it as what it was.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Yes, it was still deemed against community standards for violence

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

Makes me want to advocate & post less.  It makes me feel ashamed & embarrassed of advocating for equal rights.  It’s hurtful.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

All bodies are unique & all bodies deserve to be loved & appreciated, no matter their disabilities. The disabled community deserves a voice & the right to advocate & raise awareness on social media.  Sometimes it’s our only way to advocate, some of us are homebound.
