Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

We believe it’s because we post about Palestine, Kurdistan and many other issues that are frequently censored on IG. Our community are constantly censored by the west, we are not given visibility or even the right to share what is going on in our home/diasporic countries.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

We haven’t had to appeal, but have had our advertising rights stripped for no reason and have been denied verification about 10 times though in theory should be fully eligible.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

It feels incredibly unfair and frustrating, it makes us feel small and insignificant, despite all our work.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

We exist, and we won’t be silenced.
