Nudity.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Because I show real women ( and men) naked.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Yes, and I didn’t get any response. I then had my account removed and I had to find someone within Facebook to help me.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

It is deeply upsetting and frustrating. The fact that they can remove a post without warning and with no way to directly appeal the decision feels draconian. When they took my account down I felt like years of work was lost and I had no way of reaching out or communicating. I felt like I’d been silenced.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Women have nipples (and bums) and they shouldn’t be sexualised. Instagram sexualise them by censoring them.
