Yes, I did. My request was denied and my account got banned.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

In total over the past year, my account has been disabled five times. The last time it was down for a total of five months. My income is dependent on my social media following, from brand collaborations to booking modelling shoots. No account means no income. With the inability to be able to contact anybody in-person to review the alleged infringement I place my income in the hands of AI algorithms that inevitably get it wrong more times than right. When finally my appeal form gets reviewed by an actual person, usually after months of waiting in a long line, they see that there was no infringement and my account is back up. No apology, no explanation, just five months of lost earnings.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

I feel that there is increased censorship by social media platforms which have unfairly targeted people. I hope that if we can all get together and highlight this problem then maybe something can get done. It’s not acceptable to discriminate against someone because of their sexual orientation and I feel like the fetish/latex community has taken the brunt of it.
