The system oppresses anything that threatens the patriarchy.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Yes, no response.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

The algorithm shows my posts to followers at a small percentage of what it did last year, I lose business and income. This work is my source of survival.

It’s disheartening at times, it affects my mental health negatively.

When my work is silenced I feel shame and fight hard not to repress my ideas, voice and work but with nowhere to share it can feel difficult to continue onward.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Othering marginalized voices and censorship will not erase us, it will only deepen the wound.
