What reason was given for your ban?

Inappropriate content.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

I was being bullied at the time and had a TikTok account with around 34k followers – the people involved reported my content and accounts until they were taken down and I received a permanent ban!

The content was outfit inspiration so I can’t see any reason why it would be found inappropriate. They did it by mass reporting and although I was very sad at the time looking back it’s quite impressive what they achieved!

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Yes! I had no response at all sadly.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

I don’t see any of my social media as permanent now and I don’t trust social media platforms as much as I used to. I still enjoy posting and making content but I know it can be taken away from you overnight!

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Social media doesn’t have your back! Have fun with it but don’t get too attached to the content you can easily lose.
