Violation of nudity community guidelines.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Nudity (drawn!)

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

I always do. Some were restored after reaching direct email contact with a manager at Instagram, others have been ‘in review’ for many weeks.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

A severe decline in account reach, as a result of less interaction and fewer sales it makes it harder to make a living as an independent artist.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Abstracted and drawn human art must not be treated as criminal content.

As an artist in Vienna, I must refer to the same issues from a century ago that launched the Vienna Secession under the motto “To every age its art, to every art its freedom.”

Haven’t we made progress?

As a society, we need to accept, grow, share pleasures and peace with our body & sexuality and not let a few celebrities and big-name brands fake the overall image and make everyone self-conscious. We need to portray and not censor the plurality of intimacy.
