CENSORSHIP: Shadow & content ban
What reason was given for your ban?
Violations of Community Guidelines.
Why do you think your post(s) was censored?
Nudity (breasts, nipples, vagina, pubic hair uncensored – or sometimes even if censored!)
Representation of Queer love.
What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?
The censorship takes away the essence of my artworks. It gives you a feeling of body shaming like you have to hide your pubic hair, or your nipples, like a taboo. Or like there is something ‘dirty’ about my art, while I’m celebrating human bodies of all kinds, especially the ones underrepresented.
What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?
Through my designs, I am expressing my queer identity and relationship with sexuality. My work celebrates female and LGBTQ+ empowerment, the beauty of queer love, and fights against queer erasure within the industry. Embracing the natural features of my body and others is crucial for the artwork itself and to break the stigma.
