Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Instagram don’t like chocolate-covered breasts and bums with fake, photoshopped tattoos.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

I tried but you can’t reason with the ‘Algorithm’.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

I didn’t try to post such content ever again. I stopped shooting erotic / fetish work. Now I only shoot portraits, with implied nude. Instagram seems to be ok with that.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

We have become oblivious as to what we give away and to who. Just click accept and onto the website. All photos are scanned, categorised and catalogued for their purposes, among other things, to sell you more of what they think you like.  How can we compete with the ever-encroaching AI? Why did my photo of a woman with her hand over her breasts, also chocolate cake, get banned? Be careful what you upload, everyone is watching.
