What reason was given for your ban?

Nudity, “hate speech” sometimes I get reported by people harassing me for various reasons. Posting things that are deemed offensive to religious people. Copyright.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

I’m visibly queer, I’m comfortable with my body. I work with a lot of mainstream artists which infringe on copyright issues, I often challenge bigotry and the more activism I’ve gotten involved with the more silenced or bombarded with reports I am.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

All the time, usually not resulting in my favour.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

Sometimes, people, can’t find me on social media, even when they type my name in.

I just don’t reach the audiences I used to, which affects my opportunities, which I used to get through Instagram & Facebook.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Different types of people exist. Those that stand comfortably in themselves are being silenced and social media enables that.
