Going against community guidelines.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Child nudity.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

I appeal every time and get shut down every time.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

I feel discriminated against because just like most Malaysians, we choose not to confine our children to have them “properly dressed” as they go about their daily routines.

Some of us do this because it is hot and the children hate being dressed, but some of us can’t afford to buy clothes for them. It is a social status prejudice and our recording of our children’s lives through our art should not be removed because of that.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Certain social media platforms that claim inclusivity only do so for those who abide by the patriarchal settings of standards.
