Illustrated nudity and sexual content.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Misogynistic algorithm.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Sometimes they brought back illustrations and sometimes they did not. There are a lot of threats about closing my account. One time I had an illustration of a female nipple censored – AN ILLUSTRATION.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

I stopped feeling free with my art. The work I do is mainly feminist and humorous, but I am in constant fear of getting my account deleted, which makes me very cautious. In the past two weeks, I just stopped using Instagram I got sick of it.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

There isn’t a safe space for erotic illustrators, and the woman’s body is still considered taboo. The fact that Instagram censors us just makes it worse.
