What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

Furious. I have a series on women who are hidden figures in society from the arts to every part of society. The post highlights these women and their achievements. It was showcasing women from the Amazon showing pictures from Amazonia the exhibit at the science museum. The censorship highlights exactly how we make women invisible. The posts with men’s nipples did not get censored.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

These censorships hit women more than men and this is how we make women invisible. The algorithms are built by a bunch of men who are making arbitrary judgements on morality. In this specific case, it was even colonialism in the beholder’s perspective or the censoring of the lack of attire of women who live in the jungles of the Amazon
