What reason was given for your ban?

Nudity.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

I’m a curvy model with scars and other “flaws” I don’t retouch and I am also a photographer specialising in plus size. I show bigger bodies and even though the photos do not violate the terms of use many were deleted. I have Facebook and Instagram connected and after my pages on FB were blocked for a couple of months (for example because I posted a photo of my belly with scars and stretch marks which was deleted for nudity) my traffic on Instagram went down drastically. I had posts with several thousand likes and now I barely hit 1000.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

I objected every time I was able to but mostly nothing happened. Once or twice my photo appeared again.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

Since showing my work is part of my job in front of and behind the camera it takes away the ability to show everything I do. Especially in all the body-positive work, I do I show the natural beauty of naked bodies. But a lot of my work I can’t display anymore because I´m afraid I get blocked again or even deleted. I also work as a content creator sometimes but with the low traffic I have, I don’t get much money for my work. So it affects me in a very big part of my life – through the way I earn my money
