CENSORSHIP: Content & account ban

What reason was given for your ban?

I wasn’t given a reason.

Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Honestly, I think it’s because the things I talk about may be viewed as too “controversial” or “political”, when really it’s just about human rights.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

On TikTok, I did have a video removed where I was calling out a printing brand that refused to print a swimsuit calendar I made with powerful, disabled women. I did appeal it and after a couple of days, they put it back up.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

As far as disability goes, white disabled content creators receive the most visibility— and this is widely recognized in the disabled community. It makes me feel as if what I say isn’t important or that I’m not good enough. That we aren’t good enough as BIPOC, disabled influencers/activists.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Elevating disabled, BIPOC voices can change the world. We are worthy of been seen.
