Why do you think your post(s) was censored?

Because of double standards towards the portrayal of the female body and the assumption that any presentation of the female body is sexually explicit.

Were you able to appeal and what was the response?

Yes, every time my appeal has been rejected.

What effect has your experience of censorship had on you?

Social media has pushed itself to become the main way we connect with current and potential audiences. Its censorship and the threat of censorship that has negatively impacted my business and income by affecting my ability to advertise my shows, to reach the public to educate about body positivity and to express myself as an artist.

What’s one thing you want people to know about this topic?

Social media is happy for the female body to be exploited as a passive object to sell products, but not for us to own our own representation as creatives and to educate, uplift and inspire about how it feels to accept your body and to move as a woman through the world.
